ABOUT US
G.O.T. ORCHARDS
G.O.T. Orchards (Generations of Threads) is a Rhode Island–based nonprofit rooted in connection, mentorship, environmental unity, and shared humanity.
We transform overlooked land into inclusive orchard spaces where teens and vibrant senior mentors grow together through nature, community storytelling, guidance, and purpose.
We exist to create intentional spaces where belonging is nurtured, emotional strength is built, and generations connect through hands-on learning and shared experience.
Every tree, every conversation, and every relationship becomes part of the orchard’s living story.
OUR MISSION
To cultivate connection, empowerment, and inclusion through mentorship, environmental education, and accessible green spaces — ensuring that teens of all abilities and vibrant senior mentors learn together, grow together, and strengthen their community through care for both people and the planet.
OUR VISION
To build a network of inclusive orchards where generations thrive side by side.
Where mentorship flows both ways.
Where nature becomes a teacher.
Where stewardship, unity, and compassion are everyday actions.
Where people flourish mentally, emotionally, and socially through shared purpose and shared harvest.
OUR PURPOSE
G.O.T. Orchards exists to heal generational disconnect and uplift community well-being through intentional intergenerational mentorship.
For Teens: leadership, confidence, communication, emotional intelligence, and self-awareness.
For Seniors: meaning, visibility, purpose, and community connection.
For the Community: unity, environmental responsibility, and shared humanity.
Our purpose is to grow people as much as we grow fruit.
Meet the Founder — E. Bemah, RN
Edifice Bemah’s journey began with instability and resilience.
A childhood spent in foster care, a mother’s courageous fight to reunite their family, and years of financial hardship shaped her awareness of what exclusion feels like.
A simple orchard field trip she could not attend as a child planted a quiet truth within her: belonging matters.
Her 30-year nursing career deepened this awareness.
She saw seniors experiencing isolation — the same quiet separation she once felt as a teen.
She saw teens needing mentorship and emotional grounding.
She realized:
The world separates generations when it should bring them together.
This vision became G.O.T. Orchards.
